Stray Cat Saves Baby Bobcat who Lost His Own Mother

A baby bobcat lost his own mother but was taken in by a rescue stray cat mama. She loved and cared for the little baby bobcat as her own.
Meet Bob the bobcat (only a few days old) and Sweet Pea the mama cat.
Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation

A good Samaritan came to the Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation on May 3rd looking for help. She brought a box with a tiny kitten inside, but it wasn't just any ordinary kitten. It was a wild cat, a bobcat. "He was found as an orphan," Erica Chacon of Sarge's told Love Meow.
The woman that found the bobcat had seen a mother bobcat near her house on the stormy night before, but the next day the baby bobcat was somehow left behind.
Sarge's Animal Rescue Foundation

Unable to reunite the little wild cat with his bobcat mom, she rescued him and took him to the shelter. The baby bobcat was only a few days old. Having a nursing mom was critical for his survival. On the same day, they rescued a stray mama along with her five kittens. They knew the only hope he had was to introduce them. The time couldn't be more perfect!
What happened next warmed everyone's heart.

Within 15 minutes after they introduced the little bobcat to his new mom, Sweet Pea, he began to nurse. It was then they knew he was going to be all right.

It took Bob a bit longer to wean than Sweet Pea's own kittens, but the little buddy really thrived having a surrogate mom. Sweet Pea was incredibly loving and affectionate towards her adopted kitten.

The rescue group hope to work to rehabilitate Bob so he could be reintroduced back to the wild.

They adored each other so much that their bond inspired every one at Sarge's.
Bob headed to a wildlife rescue for rehabilitation after saying goodbye to his cat mom.
Sweet Pea was a proud surrogate mama!

Cat Lover Shocked To Learn Her $700 Hairless Sphynx is Actually a Regular Shaved Cat

A woman in Alberta, Canada, was shocked to learn that the expensive Sphynx kitten she bought for $700 is actually just a regular kitten that’s been shaved.

JoAnne Dyck told CBC News that she found the unfortunate kitten, who she named Vlad, through an ad. The seller claimed to be in Calgary but was nice enough to have the cat delivered right at Dyck’s doorstep, saving her the trouble of making the trip south.

Vlad didn’t settle in well in his new home and never got along with Dyck’s older cat. Dyck thought the kitten cried all the time because he missed his mom, but it was likely because he was in pain. She didn’t learn about the horrific abuse he had been through until after she took him to the vet.

The vet informed her that the cuts on the Vlad’s skin were likely caused by razor burns or hair removal cream like Nair. The cruel scammer had even plucked Vlad’s whiskers.

After a few weeks, his orange hair started to grow back.

Dyck informed the Calgary Humane Society about the incident but was told there was nothing they could do without a full name and address.

Two other women have also been reportedly scammed in a similar fashion. Shayla Bastarache bought this black cat for $650 thinking it was a Sphynx

Cat Saved from Abandoned Box Can't Stop Thanking His Rescuer with Affection

A couple saved a tiny kitten from an abandoned box and nursed him back to health. The kitty now thanks them every day with affection and lots of kisses.

A tiny tuxedo kitten was found in a discarded box all alone. A couple took him in and nursed him back to health.
"It was back in December 2014 in Belarus. When we were back home at the apartment, we found a tiny kitten in a box," Pusic's human told Love Meow.
The kitten's eyes were stuck shut. No matter how they tried, he refused to eat or drink. "It was evident that he was quite ill."
The vet didn't know if the kitten would survive and warned the couple not to keep their hopes up, but they refused to give up.

Over the following week, though the kitten didn't want to eat at all and just wanted to sleep, the couple fed him around the clock so he would have enough energy and nutrition to heal and get stronger.
On the 7th day, the kitten perked up and began to eat on his own! "I saw a new world through his eyes. He is so happy to be living in a home."

They named him Catpusic and soon discovered his love for kisses and hugs.
Now the little tuxedo boy shows his gratitude with affection.

Kitten Brought in Completely Lifeless, After 3 Hours of Dripping Fluids and Care...

They brought in a stray kitten found on the side of the road, completely lifeless. After hours of dripping fluids and care, the kitten made the greatest comeback!
Courtesy: Jessamin @trashcanjonesfosters

The scrawny little kitten was brought into the vet clinic in a t-shirt, not moving at all.
"I honestly thought he was a dead kitten. Three hours of dripping fluids and honey into his mouth he's ready to go!" Jessamin, a vet nurse, shares Love Meow.
The kitten was just minutes away from death hours before that. He was emanated and desperately dehydrated. The veterinary staff wasn't sure if the tiny feline would make it, but they were determined to try everything they could to save him.
"I dribbled mouthfuls of fluids to him about 3ml per go. We use veterinary grade activated manuka honey but I'm sure any kind will suffice in a jam.
"It took him several hours to even really become conscious but he slowly came through."
Courtesy: Jessamin @trashcanjonesfosters

"Ideally he would have gotten IV fluids but unfortunately he is so small and so sick we would have struggled to get a vein," Jessamin said.
"The honey can be absorbed and give them enough energy to not die until they're capable of eating."

Hours after the rescue, this happened.
The little kitten bounced back in triumph and surprised everyone with his boundless energy. "Turns out he's a wee bit feral."

When Jessamin came to check on him, he showed her a bit of sass by hissing at her. They began to socialize him by showing him constant affection.
After three hours of dripping fluids into his mouth and rubbing honey on his gums, he was upright. Another two hours later, he regained his balance.

Now the kitten is starting to learn that humans aren't so bad.
"His fearful behavior has already improved by leaps and bounds today. He's doing well - he's eating very well and seems to have recovered entirely," Jessamin told Love Meow.

They named the little rambunctious kitten Lazarus and will be looking for a good home in the Wellington region, New Zealand when the little guy is ready.
"Sometimes they survive unimaginable things."

Delivery Driver Hears Kitten Cries From His Truck and Finds the Toughest Little Guy

A tiny kitten was found plastic wrapped to a package in the back of a UPS truck. When a delivery driver was alerted by the kitten's cries, he couldn't believe what he saw.

"He's a tough little guy," veterinarian Caroline McCutcheon of Park Avenue Animal Hospital told WREG Channel 3.
The truck was loaded four days earlier in Chicago, and the driver had no idea how long the kitten had been trapped. "(The kitten) couldn't move his legs," Dr. McCutcheon said.
The USP driver heard the kitten's faint meow from the back of his truck. When he found the tiny feline, he immediately freed the kitten from the package and took him to the vet.
"He's a cat person, and it just really broke his heart," McCutcheon sad.
They named the kitten Joey.

"He was probably a warehouse kitten who got caught up in the machinery," McCutcheon told WREG Channel 3. "I don't think this was malicious. It was just an accident. Nobody knew he was in there."
The little kitten is doing well. He has already found a forever human, and will go home with him next week.

The kitten is now safe and on the mend.

Feral Kittens From Fear to Love and Trust

Three feral kittens were terrified of humans on the day they were found, but now they can't get enough of love and cuddles.
Courtesy: Daniela Basic

In June 2016, three fearful kittens were spotted along with their feral mom. A caregiver had been feeding them, but it was time to get the kittens to a safer place so they could get a better life they so deserve.
Rescuer Barbara Bluth trapped the babies and got the mama spayed. The kittens were very frightened around people as they had very little human contact.
When they first came to their foster home, all they wanted to do was hide.

"The first month was simply hard. They really didn't want to have any contact with me, so I just stayed around them to get them to get used to me," Daniela, the foster mom, told Love Meow.
But with a lot of patience and love, the three kittens started to turn around.

For the very first time, the kittens learned what it was like to have a safe home. They became more relaxed each day. Slowly but surely, they came out of their shells and even allowed their foster mom to pet them.
Meet Krümele, Isolde, and Verdi!

Krümele and Isolde quickly adjusted to living indoors but Verdi needed a bit more time. "The tip of his tail has a 90 degree angle. It's possible that he was once attacked by another animal. This is one of the reasons why he needed the most time to adjust and trust."
Even till today, Verdi is still scared of being picked up, but he's learned to love and receive love - a long way since he was rescued.

The feral side of the kitties has turned into all sorts of playful antics.
"Krümele loves to hunt, and for her everything is prey, may it be a piece of paper, a sponge or a feather," Daniela told Love Meow. "Verdi has this charming underbite and therefore loves to lick everything, preferably feathers, blankets, hands or his sister."

Isolde has been adopted, but her two siblings are still looking for their forever loving homes.
They are enjoying their new life, taking over their human's bed and cuddling up on their pillows.

The once terrified and fearful kitten, now loves cuddling in her human's lap, purring away.
